I will be the first to admit that when it comes to saying thank you I am the worst! It’s not that I’m ungrateful and of course I say thank you, but I worry that people don’t understand how appreciative I really am. There are so many people in my life that I am eternally grateful to and I always worry that they don’t think that I notice all the little things that they do for my little family and I. So I’ve made a promise to myself (and Yvo) that 2016 will be the year that everyone know that I’m thankful.
There are times when a polite thank you and a hug just don’t suffice. Sometimes it’s nice when you know that someone has gone out of their way to help or do something for you. (For example my God parents often look after Juno and I don’t think they know how much it means to us). It is nice for people to receive something personal and something that serves as a permanent reminder that you’ve remembered what they’ve done for you, and how much it really means.
When Yvo and I first found we were having a baby with a months notice we were in a daze and little did we know our lives we’re about to descend into a chaotic mess of messy nappies and muslins. We had always spoken about having children, but to be frank we didn’t have a clue where to start. This was the moment our families and friends guided us through the most terrifying and exciting time of our lives. Our Mum’s were always on hand with helpful advice (to be honest walking through the children’s department of John Lewis is mind blowing), to help guide us through this next chapter of our lives and tips to help with those first few sleepless weeks. Our friends were always there on hand to lend an ear and usually provide us with wine (after birth of course). At the time I think I was so caught up with my new baby and her fantastic new baby smell. That I never really got the opportunity to say thank you for their amazing support.
Anyway 2016 is going to be the year that I change that! I order these personalised cards from snapfish click here if you wanted to create your own (I recommend), which I created myself with photos of Nora (obviously, no one wants to see our ugly mugs). I ordered in bulk (60 cards to be precise) so that I would always have cards in the house so that I could send a thank you card whenever I felt the need to send one, even if it was to say thank you for a cup of tea.
I believe that thank you cards are an amazing way of letting someone know that you haven’t forgotten what they’ve done for you. Also who doesn’t love receiving post that isn’t a bill! So this is a sure fire way to make someone’s day.
I used snapfish to create the cards. Not only was there a great selection to chose from for quite literally any occasion you can think of. But in case you get stuck there is also a really helpful onsite instant messenger which is always really handy in case you have some questions about your design/picture quality/order or anything you can think of. If you fancy creating your own cards or any of the other amazing products snapfish create click here.
Anyway, 2016 is going to be the year that everyone knows I’m grateful!
This is a sponsored post, but all grateful thoughts are my own.
