You might (you definitely do) think that I’m over exaggerating with the title of this post. However I assure you, I am not. I genuinely believe that one of the most exciting things about becoming a parent is the fact that you get to decorate you babies bedroom. Anyway I’m currently in the process of revamping Nora’s room as we’re about to swap out her cot for a bit bed (I don’t really understand how she’s so big to be honest), but I see this as a completely legitimate reason to change up the nursery decor a bit. Nora’s room is very gender neutral and full of elephants. If this post has taught me anything it’s definitely that I’m a bit of an elephant fiend and probably need to take a break from those! Maybe go to a zoo and maybe look at some giraffes or something!
So anyway one Saturday afternoon during nap time I spent a truly unhealthy amount of time over at Etsy on the hunt for the perfect accessories to Nora’s room. Anyway let’s begin shall we…
Prints. I love a print me. I think they really can jazz up the most dull rooms, second toilet I’m looking at you! Anyway I found this little but fierce print over at The Watermelon Factory, it is exactly what I want Nora growing up believing (even if she’s not that little). These guys have the most amazing prints that will fit into any nursery. I’m currently in the process of trying to convince Yvo to let me put a Harry Potter quote in our bedroom and I’m trying to find the perfect home for their I love my dog poster.
Next up are bookshelves. At 4 months old Nora has quite the collection of impressive
literature picture books and obviously these need to be stored somewhere before Juno thinks they are her chew toys. I just think these bookshelves would make a great addition to any child’s bedroom and obviously they help keep the place nice and tidy! These particular shelves are sold by PaperStoriesUK who also has an impressive collection of Christmas ornaments (if you’re still in the market for those) as well as some adorable accessories that would be the perfect addition to any home.
So you know, I’ve mentioned a couple of times that Nora’s room and the rest of the house for that matter are filled with elephants and to be quite frank I have no intention of changing that anytime soon. So while on the hunt for accessories I have discovered hands down the most impressive collection of baby bedding over at India Rose Baby Boutique and you may have seen me gushing over their bedding on twitter when I was supposed to be working the other day ooppps! But honestly their bedding is gorgeous and completely custom made which is always adorable! Even if elephants aren’t your thing you should definitely check them out because they basically have everything you could ever want in terms of bedding! They are also super sweet and lovely so go and give them a follow on twitter and as I’m sure they would love to hear from you @indiarosebaby.
I would love to know how you guys have decorated your babies bedrooms and if you have any recommended shops as I’m always on the hunt for somewhere new and something a bit different!
